Hi I’m Jen Austin. I live by the beach in Newquay, Cornwall and more often than not have sandy feet and tangled hair. I surf a little and read a lot. I teach yoga and I love to travel. I eat a lot of avocados. I love to cook and I’m pretty sure my raw raspberry brownies are the most popular thing I’ve ever made. I also cuddle every puppy I see until the owner wrestles it off of me!
I love breaking down challenging poses to make them more accessible, offering something creative and different in every class and I have this annoying tendency to smile while making you do challenging core work 🙂
I studied traditional Hatha Yoga in Rishikesh, a small town the banks of the Ganges and at the base of the Himalayas, in India, where I got my 200hr RYT certification. Waking up at 4.30am, torrential rain, innumerable monkeys, cows that ruled the road, and the most delicious dal I’ve ever eaten all added to this incredible learning experience. After my teacher training I continued to teach and practice whilst traveling the world and experiencing many different styles and methods of yoga. After trekking through the Himalayas I studied meditation in Nepal, and in Chiang Mai Northern Thailand I trained in Thai Yoga Massage. I’m also trained in Yin Yoga (which I adore teaching and practicing) with Sarah Lo.
My love of travel has led me to hunt out the most beautiful locations and stunning accommodation from which to run unique yoga retreats for travel and fun loving yogis. Between retreats you’ll find me by the beach in Cornwall, drinking turmeric lattes, dreaming up heathy vegetarian recipes and planning yoga classes filled with as much joy and fun as possible.
Jen is fab, she always has a beaming smile and she is so passionate about what she does. I leave every class feeling great, energised/relaxed/ toned/ flexible!!

Jen led some of the best yoga practices I've experienced creating a fun, nurturing environment which allowed me to challenge myself and achieve poses I'd never previously had the confidence to try.
Jen made every single class enjoyable and positive. I loved Jen's teaching and look forward to being able to attend more sessions by her in the future as she made me feel empowered and strong and capable; even when I wasn't 'perfect' at something I always felt encouraged!
Jen is an amazing teacher, always making it an enjoyable class bringing her positivity, skills and creativity to each session which was such a treat to learn from her practice.
