Hi, I’m Jen and I’m a yoga teacher and the founder of Shine Yoga.
For the past decade, I’ve taught uplifting, empowering and feel-good yoga classes and retreats.
I know how busy life can get and how tired and stressed we all feel from time to time…
And I’ve seen again and again how transformative the magical mix of time by the ocean, in a stunning location, combined with uplifting yoga, nourishing food and wonderful company can be.
That’s why I created Shine Yoga retreats. These warm and welcoming one-of-a-kind breaks are filled with everything you need to reset, recharge and feel radiant.
I’m SO excited to welcome you to a Shine Yoga retreat and help you to feel your most energised and glowing self.
The comfy living area is light, airy and perfect for lounging. The bedrooms are authentically decorated, sprinkled with trinkets and individually themed. Each room is completely exquisitely unique.
You’ll start the day with a vibrant vinyasa flow yoga class. This fluid, dynamic and invigorating form of yoga will leave you energised and glowing!
In the afternoon you’ll love the deeply calming rest and recharge yoga sessions. A mix of slow flow, yin, hatha and restorative styles with guided relaxations and meditations. You’ll float out of these classes feeling revitalised and relaxed.
Looking out over the Atlantic Ocean, yoga classes are held in the shade of the roof top yoga studio.
Over the retreat there will be 5 morning vinyasa flow classes and 4 afternoon rest and recharge sessions. All classes will be taught by Shine Yoga founder, Jen Austin. You can read all about Jen here.
Classes are suitable for all levels from total beginners.
All week you’ll eat the most delicious, nutritious, vegetarian dishes from the finest and freshest local produce.
From your morning super smoothie to your evening dessert of avocado chocolate tart you’ll be astounded by the beautiful dishes created by the talented local chefs.
A beautiful breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day except Thursday evening when we will head out to a local restaurant or roof top BBQ.
This is your retreat week and you can do as much or as little as you like. Our retreat villa is the perfect place to relax. Set your lounger up beside the pool and read all day. Sit on the roof top terrace and gaze out to sea whilst sipping fresh mint tea.
Or if you’re feeling active there’s so much to see and do too…
A hammam (Moroccan steam bath), a rejuvenating indulgence to deeply relax, traditionally followed by a gommage, an exfoliating massage-scrub, a body mask and then a full body massage. Then sit around or swim in the oceanside infinity pool for the ultimate afternoon treat.
Local guides can drive you inland into beautiful Paradise Valley. Explore its’ streams, waterfalls and pools, take a picnic, walk, swim and relax.
Visit the Agadir Souq (main market); perfect for gift shopping. Agadir beach is a huge sandy bay, great for swimming, walking, sunbathing and lots of tourist activities, restaurants, cafés etc.
Fully qualified and experienced instructors are ready to teach you all week or on any days you choose.
You could do a full one week surfing course which fits in with our yoga classes and includes: comprehensive and fun daily surf lessons with fully qualified and experienced instructors, all board and wetsuit hire, transport to and from the beaches and surf guiding.
Or you can book lessons on a day-to-day basis or a 3 day course. Stand up paddle board, surfboard and wetsuit hire are also available. We’ll help you with everything. It’s going to be so much fun!

Relax in total comfort in the retreat villa. Enjoy ocean or garden views from your beautiful room, and spend time unwinding on the roof top terrace or relaxing by the pool. And you’ll be right beside the beach for revitalising walks, refreshing ocean dips or fun surfs whenever you want.
We have so much fun in these classes! Get ready to feel energised and radiant with dynamic vinyasa flow. You’ll try new poses and learn so many tips and techniques to help you in your yoga practice. You’ll enjoy playful flowing sequences and use powerful breathing techniques to shake off sluggishness and feel your most vibrant.
Experience all of the yummiest yoga practices for relaxation and rejuvenation wonderfully woven together. These classes will incorporate yin yoga, restorative yoga, slow flow, breathing techniques, meditation and guided relaxation.
Take a seat at outside at our beautiful bougainvillea-shaded table, enjoy the sunshine, listen to the waves and savour the most yummy, nourishing vegetarian food surrounded by wonderful people.
You’ll also have the option to choose a (really delicious) packed lunch on days when you’re out exploring, surfing or hiking.
And you’ll be able to help yourself to tea, coffee, fresh mint tea, herbal teas and home baked treats whenever you like (a slice of cake and a mint tea tastes even more AMAZING after a surf lesson).
Feast on colourful salads, delectable dips, tagines, roasted vegetables and luscious desserts. There’s no boring or bland food here. In fact, prepare to be astounded by how delicious, satisfying and nutritious every meal is.
We make it so easy and stress-free for you to get to the retreat. You’ll be picked up at the airport and driven straight to the retreat villa. No need to organise anything we’ll do it all for you.
You can travel light, because all these luxurious treats are waiting for you when you arrive. The sweet smelling rose spritz will cool you down and keep your skin hydrated. And the olive soap is known for its moisturising, exfoliating, and soothing properties.
Our roof top yoga studio not only has floor to ceiling windows that look straight out over the ocean…it’s also incredibly well equipped so you’ll be so comfortable in every yoga pose.

Absolutely, lots of guests on every retreat arrive independently. There is a warm, kind and friendly atmosphere with communal activities and plenty of opportunity for you to take some quiet time for yourself too. You can chose to share a room or have your own room.
Everything you need for a wonderfully revitalising and stress free week is included. That means:
One of the most rewarding and awesome things about yoga retreats is the amazing like minded people you will meet on the retreats. Everyone goes away with pages of their notebook full of books to read, films to watch, podcasts to listen to as well as new friends. The week is filled with laughter and conversation and fun and you’ll be amazed how quickly you make wonderfully supportive friendships.
Yes, we eat our meals together and people tend to group together to participate in activities, take a walk or just have a nice chat but everyone also has time to themselves to read, relax by the pool or on the roof terrace, find a beautiful spot to meditate or nap in their room.
Yes the retreat is based 10 minutes walk from Aourir, and 5km south of Taghazout, a colourful characteristic fishing village, famous for its great surf and laid back, friendly atmosphere.
You are welcome to arrive any time after 3pm on Saturday. The first yoga class will be on Sunday morning. Checkout from your rooms is by 9am on the Saturday of our departure day.
The nearest airport is Agadir. You may find skyscanner helpful when looking for flights. Transfers from Agadir airport are included in the retreat.
Most flights arrive late on Saturday but also leave later on the following Saturday so will you still be able to enjoy a full 7 days on the retreat.
Don’t worry about booking a flight that doesn’t arrive until Saturday evening (most people will be doing the same).
And on the final day of the retreat you can still use the pool, downstairs area and shower right up until the transfer picks you up for your flight.
