Autumn Yoga Music Playlist: Listen Now!

Autumn yoga Music Playlist

Autumn is looking pretty awesome right now! Yesterday I spent a picture-perfect Sunday crunching through fallen leaves and gazing up at jewel hued trees in the spectacular Lanhydrock estate. Between my dog walks and outdoor adventures there was time for gorgeous autumn activities like sitting on the sofa wrapped in a fleecy blanket, eating cake in a cozy cafe, cooking veggie chilli for friends and enjoying a slow flowing yoga practice with my new Autumn yoga music playlist.

A yoga music playlist for Autumn

Along with the changes in the clocks, temperature and foliage at this time of year, I’ve noticed the change in what I’m drawn to in my yoga practice and yoga teaching. During this season of slowing down, calming down and turning inward (read all about this in my embracing autumn blog post) it makes perfect sense that our yoga practice would shift, slow down and become more grounded. Over the last few week’s in class we’ve moved away from the from the dynamic inversions and fast flows of the summer and spent more time folding forward, in seated poses, lying down and turning inward.

And to accompany this change within the classes I’ve finally created a new yoga playlist for my yoga classes. I’ve loved my spring yoga playlist so much I’ve been playing it throughout summer too! But my new autumn yoga music playlist is perfect for this time of year when it feels so good to move more slowly and take the time to rest and restore. It has a gorgeous mix of songs to inspire gentle movement, winding down and listening in. And even if you prefer to practice yoga in silence put this playlist on while you relax, read, write or cook on these darker autumn evenings instead!

Thank you for this lovely playlist….and especially for introducing me to Agnes Obel. Love September Song and I shouldn’t be surprised that she is Danish. The universe is working.
